I had my very first liveaboard experience on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, and it felt like a dream. The boat was so comfortable and felt really luxury to me. For 5 days and 4 nights, my whole life became just one routine: EAT → DIVE → SLEEP → REPEAT.
Doing 3 dives a day for so many days in a row was super tiring. After each dive, my legs felt wobbly and my eyes felt sleepy, but I still wanted to go again. Waking up early, putting on cold wetsuits, checking gear, and jumping into the ocean again and again became normal very quickly.
There was no internet connection, so I couldn’t play Roblox at all. At first, I felt a bit sad about that, but then I realised it didn’t matter — I was too busy diving, exploring, eating yummy food, and resting on the top deck in the sun. It actually felt nice to have a break from screens.
Underwater, the Great Barrier Reef was amazing. I saw white tip reef sharks swimming calmly under me, and black tip reef sharks cruising around the coral. The coral reef looked like a giant colourful city — full of shapes, tunnels, little fish homes, and bright colours everywhere. Every dive showed me something different.
My first liveaboard was the best adventure ever. It made me feel like a real diver living the real diver life. And even though I was tired every day, I wished the trip could last even longer.
